Blinds replacement for double hung windows

Got new windows without thinking that the original blinds won't work if we want to open windows from the top.

What do you fine folks use in place of the standard blinds for your double hung windows?

I've used roller shades and installed a second set of mounting hardware at the middle of the windows where the sashes cross. That allows me to open the windows from the top, while obstructing the view through the lower sash.

search for top-down/bottom-up shades assuming you're tall enough to reach the top of your windows.

Thanks! Feel dumb for not considering this, but never bought windows (or shades) before!
