Sounds about right....

3ft x 3ft shower pan with attached tub

Looks similar to this

Considering just a simple retile of the tiled areas vs something more major like this:

Idea of tile you're going to use? Are you wanting to retile the whole shower, including redoing the shower pan? Other unknown will be if your shower is exactly like that, aka frameless glass, if they will will be able to reuse the glass. The glass alone would probably be a few thousand dollars.

Would try and reuse the glass but yeah I'd imagine $3k for that. Paid about $2k 8 years ago.

Not sure on tile but, again, just looking for a middle of the road option.

I did a bathroom in summer of 2020 that similar-ish to what you're looking at (Thread w/ Pics)

Total cost was about $18.5k. I did all the labor except for tile/granite. My tile also included the rest of the bathroom, and I replaced the vanity granite/sinks/fixtures, but didn't replace cabinets. I also moved drains, painted, reframed, added vent fan, moved lights, etc. If you're just looking at the costs of the tub/surround & glass, I'd say it was closer to $10k. Feel free to ask about specifics.

By "simple retile of the tiled area", do you mean no changes in shape or size and no moving of plumbing? Even if that's all you are doing, you are still taking everything down to the studs and rebuilding the shower completely. You can't just remove tile and add new tile over the existing substrate. You've got backerboard, waterproofing, and then tile and grout.

Thanks all. Understood it's not a simple tile job and would require full demo.
