How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hello,
I am installing a led light to replace and ancient one. There is no ground wire or ground screw in the box. Electrical dates back to 1954. How would I attach a ground wire in this situation or should I just not ground it? Ignore the edited Part with the drawings.
Thanks

Holy box-fill, Batman!

That age electric was largely ungrounded. Really, the best you can do is attach a ground screw inside of the box, but event then, its going to likely to be just an open ground. Just part of living in an old house.

LED lights Don't Need No Stinkin Grounds!

Just attach the hot and neutral wires to the LED lights and you're good to go!

Also, what is that taped-up wire nut on the right hand side. This strikes me as a box that someone ran a home run into and then branched out from there. Not uncommon from that age. I any event, you've going to need to push that out of the way before you start attaching a light to that box.
