So since you do not get Messages what is your company or number in case folks on here would want to do business with your, unless I overlooked it.

Hey thanks for asking about my contact information. I am struggling mightily with releasing who I am on here and let me explain why.
1. We are plenty busy, (not bragging) and we are still a small company, we couldn't handle much more work hence why we do not advertise. We gain customers every week strictly from word of mouth.
2. I post on here to be informative to help posters be better educated without feeling obligated to use my services, maybe using what I say with your contractor makes him a better contractor and we all win?
3. I really don't want to be like those other guys on here that post their contact info on every single HVAC post yet never pay for an ad.
4. I'm still scared of ecozapp.
5. I can still call out the "doctor" for what he is.

Having said all of that what would you do if you were in my shoes? Do you respect my opinions more because I don't have a sells pitch to go with it? Should I just bite the bullet and let it be known who I am and let what happens happen?
Why not do both? Your opinions are based on your professional experience. You are either a professional or you aren't and that has nothing to do with sales pitches or sponsorships. The fact is that your business is referral based but there is a lot that may come from pitching services to people who are on the fence during off peak periods.

I do not like to tell people "I am too busy to help you". I don't like dismissing their problems as insignificant. However, I also like to be up front with them and honest about stuff. Most will appreciate this. I have no trouble telling someone "I would love to do this immediately, but I am about 6 weeks out on installs."

Also, you telling someone your contact on here because they asked for it is totally different than spamming every post with your contact. Before I paid, I did exactly like you did. I actually got a bit of business from just being helpful. I opted to split my personal and business user names, but you don't have to.

Of course I recognize that your business creates a lot more urgency in people, so like you said, you don't need to pitch anything very often. Comfort is a heck of a motivator in August and February.

I wouldn't worry about the ecozapp issue. Your posting style does not seem to lend itself to creating an issue.

Anyway, that's my opinion.

Variable-stage is important to cost now and VERY important to energy savings later ... I am reading replies that actually try to compare old-school SINGLE-stage to VARIABLE here ?!?!?! Wow ... I have been like that, only to learn the hard way ... it's the cheap man that spends the most.

Nationwide, a clean swap-out that no issues, no duct working/cleaning save to connect to duct system with new at unit .... $5000/ton tops
Locally, our VERY best Trane guys ... ~$4000 if condenser in attic SEER18+

Think I read IRS requires only 16SEER for their "generous" $300 rebate last year.
BTU - no rebates yet
City of CS, rebates YES

BTW, the variable-stage pampers us SO much, it's worth skipping a 5-star resort vacation to pay whatever extra it costs and avoids Years of repairs & energy bills later.

Consumer Reports has some important nationwide HVAC ratings but thereafter - even with cars (their forte') - you have to consider service/installers' local ratings b/c they make/break the system.
Ten words or less ... a goal unattainable

Worst part about most of the variable speed units, is their VERY expensive proprietary t-stats.

Does anybody have a recommendation for an HVAC company in the Austin area? I'm building and looking for a company that knows what they are doing. So far, I'm getting some crazy tonnage estimates for my square footage. I know that they haven't run a Manual J yet, but 5 tons for 2400 sq ft with foam, really?
