Considering the pros and cons of getting UV light installed into our AC unit. Have 2 units, so I will need 2 of them. For anyone that has done this, have you noticed any difference in your air quality. We live in North Houston, so humidity is definitely a thing. Also any cost estimates to have one installed. Our AC guy also said a filter would need to be added.

The last thread about this said that the bulbs have to be changed a lot more frequently than you think to be effective and the bulbs are not super cheap, nor super easy to change.

Mine lasted like 3 years. Getting to the location to replace it is a non starter unless I want to take a chance of ****ing something up.

Id say not worth it.

We've had one since we moved in 5 years ago. Couldn't tell you one way or the other.

There is a lot of bad marketing/info for UV lights...we have been selling them for over 20 years. We flat guarantee that with our UV light system and our filter your evaporator coil will never get dirty....if it does we clean it for free.
