I haven't checked myself, but several friends have told me that it is virtually impossible to find any home appliances due to the pandemic. I need to replace a stove top and microwave/oven, but haven't even started looking.

We ordered a Samsung cooktop in February and delivery continues to be pushed back. Originally April, current date now end of July. At this point I am just hoping we can get it by Thanksgiving.

Our GE fridge crapped out for the second time in a year two weeks ago and we went into Lowes and bought a nice BOSCH refrigerator that was in stock and delivered the next day.

High end appliances are the ones seeming to be really affected. Lowes, Best Buy, and Home depot seem to have basic and mid grade appliances in stock at most times

i'm guessing they are still in business b/c they are selling a crapload of appliances. So many, that there are long lead times.

I think it's more the chip shortage than the pandemic now.

Just another thing that sucks right now. It's like everyone has money but can't buy anything

The chip shortage was caused by the pandemic.

That would make sense. We ordered a high end on that nobody has in stock. Of course when we ordered in Dec they said Feb at the latest.

Most of major appliances sold are mid-grade so I expect thats what manufacturers are trying to get out the door fastest.

Unfortunately it sucks when you want to upgrade in your case.

It's not just Bosch, it's everyone. I'm in construction and have a couple customers that have been waiting a long time for their appliances. 8-12 weeks has been the standard lead time this year

This. All of this. Windows anywhere from 8-32 weeks. Ordered a truck of Sheetrock in February, still haven't seen it. Smart side orders out until August. Price increases from vendors and suppliers almost every week.
