Before we redid plumbing on several rental units, we did what we thought was a ton of research & people said this was not an issue. WRONG.

All of our under house pex is insulated & they even chewed thru that to get to the pex. We will now be going under every house.... some are so slight I think we'll have to touch every line to see if wet. Found 3 place in one house this morning: under kitchen sink, bathtub & washing machine.

Extremely disappointed.

Damn that stinks. Glad I have old school copper.

I was told squirrels wouldn't chew Hardy board either and they did. I wound up cutting pieces of expanded metal and putting it over the spots in the corners.

It's definitely an issue, had that happen to me as well.

Been there for a few years & no problem. This is new damage, I guess the cold weather is driving them under the houses.

Rodents are attracted to something in pex. They will chew until it is gone.

Maybe the heat?

Probably the water.

Maybe they like hot showers

It probably has some Soy component in it to appease the Green types. Kinda like my car in Colorado where the rabbits and prairie dogs chewed through my soy wrapped wires to the tune of $1700 in damages. Now if they would just go eat the wires of all the people who wanted plant based wire wrap.

Not only pex.... found this today crawling around checking for leaks. Luckily the damage was too high to leak.

Making hardware cloth panels to cover all the tubs & showers, got my One Bite poison delivered today. I'm all in.

Rodents will chew on anything they can get their mouth on.

Their life is governed by three rules.
1. Will it kill me? If yes, run if no...
2. Can I eat it?
3. Can I f*** it?

Have a car in the shop also due to Rodents chewing through the soy based wires. Bought Peppermint Oil to spray under the hood. Evidently the smell repells them.
