Not your house, not your problem.

Any solution depends on how the sill meets the window. If you try to build it up, engender you're building you against the window. You will also inevitably end up with a very thin layer if you go some kind of self leveling route. You'd need something that will not crack, otherwise it may just start coming off because the only thing holding it to the sill is the paint.

Best long term solution is to pull the sill plate and adjust the framing beneath it to reslope it. More of a hassle, but it's a real fix.

Not your house, don't mess with it. I'd be pretty pissed if a tenant poured self leveling compound or epoxy onto my window sill...

The right thing to do is to pull the sill and reinstall it angled so that it will drain correctly.

Well in that case, epoxy away I guess.

I think you mean the window stool. If so just pull it and put it back properly then caulk it

Is there a reason to not do this?

You are renting a 3.4 million dollar house that has painted window sills in the shower ?

What is the size of the sill ?

Is the window operable ?

Is there room to perhaps over lay something water proof on top of it such as a thin piece of cultured marble or some type of tile ?

Post a picture of the sill problem if you can

so many wrong ways to fix this...

a 1.4M house where water penetrating into a wall could lead to an infinite amount of problems and costs and they don't want to fix it? something strange going on with this story.

My friend is letting me use his car for a while. The dash is cracked and I'm thinking about using some silicon to repair it. Any other ideas?

BTW, it's a Lamborghini on Falken tires so he's letting me make some minor repairs here and there.

Everyone forgets that OP is in Seattle. Any 3/2 on close to Lake Washington is insane.

As a side note, when I was job hunting seattle would pay about a 40% premium in salary for my job title, but cost of living was like 200-300% increase. Just too many tech folks with early amazon stock fighting for the same plots of land.

Sounds like a large house on a much larger property that will be developed. They'll probably make more demoing the house, slicing up the land, and selling off the plots/building new homes. They don't care what happens with the house as long as it is rentable until demo.

if the sill is trapping water, I'd say there is probably a close to 100% certainty of other water damage.
