We are doing a master bath remodel and are considering a linear drain in the shower. They look nice, but I have been reading a lot of reviews that say they clog easily and are hard to clean. A lot of people online regret having installed them.

Does anyone have/had one and have any feedback?

Thanks!

It's the screen that clogs. You have to pull of the grate and clean the screen.

Same issue if you put in a square drain such as an ebbi brand

Here is a picture of a the strainer that comes with an infinity drain that we are installing at one of our jobs. It'll definitely catch hair. But it's mostly a maintenance issue and, if installed properly, isnt that big of a deal so long as you know how to clean it.

I've had one by Schluter for a few years now and no problems other than maintenance you'd have to do with any other drain. Not the best angle but you can see it here. This kind of drain fit the shower a lot better than the normal kind.

Is that a crack in the stone under the sink?

No (and it's the bathtub). I made a removable panel for plumbing access. The picture is from before I changed the way it attaches to sit more flush.

Sioux Chief makes a quality product. So does Oatey - QuickDrain.

I have had problems in the past getting, what I call, proper slopes to drains so this time went with linear drain-thought it was easier for them to make one continuous slope rather than getting to make a round one.
So far, about six weeks, so good

And I thought it was a really big sink. I was paying so much attention to the front all I looked at was the crack. I don't think we are looking at the same spot.
I just noticed after zooming that it is just big tile.
