We have a west facing storm door that is all glass. When there was a wooden door behind it, no problem. I guess the wood simply transferred heat into the house.
Installed a metal, insulated entry door this spring behind the storm door. Noticed it was too hot to touch when I came home in the afternoon. Actual temperature measured at 150 degrees in the space between storm door and metal door.
Seems obvious that we need to tint the storm door. We would like to be able to see out as clearly as possible, but we need to stop the heat build up. What do the gurus recommend?
TIA
