A few years ago I built this playhouse on our deck. It is sealed pretty tight except for the doors. The problem is the wasps get in and get trapped. Of course this results in the kids not using the playhouse everrrrrrrr.

Im looking for ideas to either improve the seal or rebuild the doors with a proper seal. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Two things come to mind.

First would be to add some foam weather stripping. I've used this on a deer hunting blind before to keep bugs out. Workers great.

Or #2. Maybe buy a complete door with frame and install it.

It looks like you've already tried some foam weatherstrips. I would take that OSB off and replace it with some 3/4" plywood that is painted on both sides. Screw it well around the edges so it can't pull away. I might try a metal weather strip like this. to seal instead of a foam which can be hard to compress and also can tear.

Also, 2x4 frames like that typically warp and twist. Check it for flatness before you do try my suggestion.

Thank you Wh08p and Builder for the response. Yeah, the door is not heavy enough to squish the foam. I'll try Builders suggestion. Thank you.
