Looks like horse weed. Use broadleaf weed killer like trimec southern.

I've killed it with liquid Atrazine + surfactant, though that appears off label.

It's actually referred to as Horse Herb and it's becoming very common to use in Texas as a ground cover because it gets little yellow flowers, it's very hearty and drought tolerant. You can mow it, stomp on it and neglect it and it will easily come back. Our rabbits love it also.

I have it and love it as a ground cover instead of grass. I don't mow.

It appears that I have the same, but I wanted to verify if you thought it was sprawling horseweed too? It doesn't get the yellow flowers like a bunch of pictures say, but that may be because I mow it often enough. Did the Trimec Southern take care of it for you?

Doveweed has already started appearing, seems like it's a few months sooner than the last few years. Start pulling this crap up or treating before it spreads. This stuff loves the weaker areas or if there are any bare spots, for instance under my oak trees out front.
