What's the average cost for granite in a half bath. It's 2 foot by 2 foot to include a basic sink and install but no plumbing . Houston? TIA! Got quoted $500 and don't know if that is good or bad.

A basic sink is about $100 but they can cost 5X that amount.

If you have an under-mount sink , it will add $95 to the fab cost b/c they polish the edges and epoxy in retaining clips.

My recent $625 quote was for:
10 sq ft of 3 Cm thick White Macabas Quartzite
2 top mount sink cutouts,
2 faucet holes
2 trips (measure & install, n/c)

I furnished the demo, sinks, plumbing,& sealing. This quote was a bit more than another company's quote but I liked this stone better. Both places quoted from remnants in their yard.

The box stores have a 25 sq ft min.

I got two 36in long bathroom vanities white quartz with some sparklin in it for $400 installed with undermount sinks. That includes the backsplash.

Found a guy on Facebook book, I was a little worried about using someone from there but it turned out great! Also had him do my kitchen counter tops in the same stuff.

Tile guys was a different story... he didn't do a bad job he just was a pain in the ass.

Price seems high to me, but it's a small project. Granite should be in the $35-$50 per square foot range installed, including sinks. We paid $35 for quartz, but that was three large counter tops, three sinks. They may just be pricing high because it's a small project.

Get a couple more quotes. You should be able to find someone who has a spare piece that would work.
