How long do you want to ignore this user?
Does anyone have a suggested PPE for using paint stripper? I have a OV/P100 3M cartridge respirator, safety goggles, and will plan to wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt. I also will be using rubber gloves. Is there anything else that folks normally use to protect themselves when using this stuff?

Thanks in advance!

I normally wear my already ruined shorts, tshirt, and bare foot, outside. No gloves. Just don't get it on your skin and if you do, rinse it with water, no problem. I guess it also depends on your use case. If I was doing a piece of furniture, my attire is listed above. If I am doing something that would require some hard scrubbing, I might wear some gloves and some eye pro but that's about it. If you are just using the mild grade stuff you can buy at home depot or lowes, the stuff isn't as nasty as some would have you think. But you do what you are comfortable with.

Edit to add - Buy a roll of that wide brown paper from home depot/lowes to put under whatever you are stripping. Makes for easy clean up when you are done!

This might be a bit overkill, but look at the back of the stripper and see what chemicals are in the bottle. Then look at the chart and figure out what gloves you need.

The mask might be a bit overkill; if you are outside with lots of air, you might be fine. When I stripped some old furniture, I did not have an issue with stuff from HD/Lowe's as I was outside and it was semi-windy. YMMV though.

Thanks Dr. Doctor. Great resource. Nothing is overkill when it comes to personal safety, IMO.
