I have a steel compost pile bin in my back yard that I got when my grandparents passed away. I also have some scrap tung and groove cedar pieces that I want to adhere to it to dress it up a bit.

Do y'all think gorilla glue adhesive would bond the wood to the metal? If not what do you think would work best?

Whatever you use, clean it up and rough up the metal and the wood sides that will mate together with some sandpaper to help the glue grab the metal and cedar.

I would go with a mechanical fastener over glue, but that's just me.

The material I have is 2' sections of cedar tongue and groove that I plan to sort of tile over the steel. So now way in hell it can be nailed or screwed on.

Especially since the steel is about an 1/8" thick
