I need to glue a 1 piece marble backsplash to sheetrock behind a small vanity.

The backsplash will sit on the vanity countertop. When i set it in place, it doesn't want to move at all, so I doubt I need to get too crazy. It's about 3/4" thick, so i'm not worried about bleed-through of whatever glue i use.

Was thinking liquid nails or gorilla glue, but maybe this is a big no-no?

Liquid nails or just silicone caulk will do!

If you have white or light marble, I would use anything that dries white. Have had issues with white marble absorbing color in the past.

Use silicone. Also run a bead on the countertop so the splash sits on it.

I appreciate this! But also find it kinda funny that it doesn't have either "marble" (or any variant) or "sheetrock" or any variant.

This. I wouldn't use liquid nails with marble.

If it fits as tight as you say, you could honestly just use a few spots of the same caulk you're going to use to seal the backsplash to the counter and to the wall. That piece shouldn't ever see any forces trying to pull it off the wall, so you don't need to go crazy attaching it.

Thank you. I went with some gorilla glue I already had. If it doesn't work I'll let you know
