I need to replace the pump in my washing machine, but these hoses, despite moving the pinch clips, seem to be permanently stuck.

Any suggestions for removing them? This isn't a pic of mine - i've already slid the clips back.

Staff - take out the trash.

Just work them back and forth? There may be a barb on the end of the cooupling that is making it a a little tough?

I didn't really have any issues when I had to pull them to clean out a clogged hose/pump.

That's the problem - they won't move. I feel like the hoses were also glued on. I'll try heating w/a hair dryer to see if it loosens them enough to twist off.

yeah, I was going to suggest some heat to loosen up any possible adhesive

Worst case - cut and replace lines.

Looking online, the drain hoses seem to have ribs on the end which is probably what is causing the resistance. I doubt they glued it.
