I'm looking st extending my backyard patio to create a larger seating area. I'm probably looking at 650-800 sqft. What type of per sqft cost should I expect to pay for a concrete patio? Any idea what the premium markup is for stamped concrete?

Just looking for a ballpark. I'm in CTX (Bell County).

TIA

Really depends. Are you gonna need grading, additional fill, removal and haul-off? If the area is flat and requires minimal prep, I'd assume about $10-$12 per sf. At 650 sf (assuming a 4" slab) you'll need a full truck (just under 9 cu yds). Any bigger and you'll need a 2nd load, which will be incrementally more expensive unless they bring a portable mixer.

Good info. I'll need minimal prep; the area is pretty damn flat. I do have some sprinklers and valves that will need to be factored into the equation. But those estimates are a great ballpark to start the conversation. Thanks.

Once upon a time you could get flatwork done for $4/sf. Can't sniff $8 any more unless you have several thousand sf.

What about an existing patio that you just need a skim coat and stamp? What does that run per sq ft

Sorry, mate. I don't really know the answer to that. Honesty, I would expect that to still be in the same ballpark. You've gotta be careful with top coating because if you do it too thin, it will pop.

Not sure how it compares. But city just replaced the panels of our street and the part of the driveway that is theirs.

The first two panels of the driveway are cracked and settle. In the summer. So I asked how much to replace them while they were doing the street. It is about 600sf. They quoted 3600. I can live with the cracks.

We live in Waco and had ours done for $5 per square foot. We added 160 square feet. In a few more weeks after the concrete settles, the same guy said he can etch a pattern, stain, and clear coat old 100 sq ft and new 160 sq ft for $800 more.

It really all boils down to specs and materials availability. If you can find someone doing a big pour and just tag some extra concrete to that order, you can get it done less expensively. If you use wire mesh rather than rebar, you can get it done less expensively. If there's not going to be a structure on it and you can get away with a 3,000 psi mix, you can do it less expensively. If you don't need any footings or beams you can do it less expensively. Etc, etc, etc.
