Looking to buy a zero turn mower to mow about 1 1/2 acres. Want to buy one that will last, cuts well and is comfortable. What do you recommend?

I have a gravely zt hd 48 inch. It's a hoss, but it's also over 4k

What about for smaller areas (about 3/4 acre) with lots of trees and other obstructions.

NOT cub Cadet. I have one of their mowers and have used it for about 8 years. Each year I end up putting a spindle on one of the 3 blades. This winter my project was to rebuild the entire deck. All 3 spindles, new belt, everything that I could replace.

I won't do that again. When I start having trouble again in 2-3 years, I'm going to replace it.

Love my diesel Grasshopper and it gives the smoothest ride.

I'm thinking about going with an Exmark. My neighbor has a Skag, but I haven't looked into them too much yet. I sold our John Deere this weekend, soooo guess I'll have to make the purchase this week since the yard is starting to grow...

Buy the brand from the closest shop you have confidence in.

Exmark makes a pretty good mower that is almost identical to toro. As a owner of a commercial landscape company your best bet is Toro, Scag, or Exmark (if you can afford them)

That's because Toro owns Exmark.

I have a Cub Cadet Z-force 60" which has upgraded serviceable transaxles. It came with a 3 year warranty. This summer will be my 3rd summer mowing my 2.5 acres and I've had zero problems; knock on wood. It was about $1k less than the same sized entry level BadBoy, but that model BadBoy only had the entry level transaxles that are non-serviceable.

Hustler Raptor owner here. It was a good value and I've been very happy with it.

I think I've narrowed it down to the 52" Exmark S series with floating platform and the 52" Scag Patriot. They both seem comparable. Any thoughts before pulling the trigger?

Same dealer sell both brands? I ended up with the Exmark over the Scag (dealer sold both). Mostly because they had a left over year model exmark and I was able to save somewhere around $500 or so on it.

I bought the Exmark Radius S series 52" with the floating platform. Tried it out for the first time yesterday and am happy with it. It beats the hell out of the old John Deere mower I had.
