Our washer is rocking like crazy on the spin cycle and I'm not sure what to do? Does anyone have any recommendation for a repair?

Mine does it when it's not level, I just stick something under the corner that is lower.

May not be your issue though.

Already tried leveling and that didn't work.

Top or front load?
lots of reasons it can happen with either. I have even seen washers that have been used for long periods with remove before use bolts or straps still in place. Amazed they and had not self destructed from having their vibration damping features disabled.

It's a top load. Bouncing all over the place on high spin cycle to the poit of almost managing to do a 90degree left turn Thursday night. I know the legs are properly leveled and I've shifted the loads with no luck.

Don't know particular model you have. Some have rubber straps, some springs either which can break. You can see if a empty load still vibrates also. Clogged drain or bad pump can leave excess water in tub that can also cause vibration. Easiest is find model indo and goto appliance parts pros on Web and chat with technician. Other sites have this feature also, but app seems to have knowledgeable people and free.

Have you tried a furniture dolly?

Geez, thanks for the info UmustBKidding...just checked ours and it's on the recall list!

Found out ours was on the future recall list a couple of months ago when the problem first surfaced in the news.

Signed up for updates and got a heads-up email yesterday which allowed me to set up an appointment for early next week to have the repair done.

I posted this on the Houston board thread:

Wow... getting offered $899 if Samsung and $773 if not. Odd, since the machine is still being sold and is only $650 brand new.

Not sure if we are going to go with the repair or the new machine. Probably a repair, since my wife likes that our dryer matches the washer (yeah, I know).

I have had great luck with Steve Slaton appliance repair. Honest guy and fair prices.
