Underground/Pop Up Sprinklers that Attach to Garden Hoses

So I'm pretty happy with my current sprinkler situation in the front yard (hoses running through the garden bed and attached to impulse sprinklers tucked away beneath bushes for the most part), but there's a small patch that isn't quite getting the water it needs.

Is there an underground/pop up sprinkler that can attach to a generic garden hose? I'm looking to just bury a hose right below the surface and run it out to the sprinkler head if I can find one.

All the ones online seem to require fancy piping or some other stuff.

Just get the pvc hose adapter, run pvc line and hook up sprinkler.. If you buy a water valve splitter you could leave it attached permenetly, then all you have to do is turn it on...

PEX is susceptible to UV so ensure it's not exposed....

Water hose will rot if buried. Just run some pex to a stub out near a hose bib. You can connect it there with either regular pvc, a hose or pex.
I had a hose buried for many years in my first home.. never had an issue. When I sold the buyer even asked if I could leave it if he bought new one.. so it's probably still there 10 years later.

If you're going through the trouble to put it in the ground, I'd at least run some poly out to it.

Probably cheaper than a hose too.

So I'm back. One more question: can you use just buried PEX pipe for a DIY sprinkler system? I have something similar to below, so I could theoretically have 2 or 3 sprinklers hooked up to each hose, right? So, could I just use PEX underground or is it not intended for that? (Rather than burying a hose...since those may or may not rot)

I did exactly what you have there in my first house. I had two, one on each side of the house, but each one if I remember had 3 of those valves.

From the manifold I had flex pvc to go down and get into ground and bury until I reached a fence. Then I converted back to plain pvc and ran it along the bottom rail of my fence to location (drilled a hole right through the posts), then converted back to flex pvc for the ends so it was easier to place sprinkler. For one of them, I direct buried a hose.

I had 3 on one side, 3 on the other. 2 of them on the backyard system I placed the sprinklers right next to my deck, so I didn't even have to bury anything, as the brain was right by the deck too. I used the spike type sprinklers that just push down into the ground.

For a redneck sprinkler system around $100, it worked pretty well. Had to change out the manifold after a few years.. water is tough on those things.

I've had a similar setup as well at our old house. Just used hoses run along side of house or hidden in the flower bed mulch. It worked really well. I'll be setting it up at the new house soon.
