Has anyone had one installed by a dropshade, southwest shades, or any of the other brands?

I'm trying to get a ballpark estimate for my patio for something very simple.

No, but I installed some Coolaroo sun shades on my back patio. If you are not looking for custom or automated they are a solid option. Install took about 30 minutes (15 if I'd had a second set of hands).

Last fall we used Shade Works of Texas and we were very happy with the results.

The more shades you get the better the discount per shade.

Warning - it's esspensive.

We had 6 shades installed on our back porch and negotiated to 11K after tax.

We think it was well worth the investment. The owner (Alan) is the primary installer. Extremely nice guy and he's very detail oriented.

We left 1 bay on the porch open because we didn't need sun or wind protection there. I'm excited to see how it improves comfort on the patio this summer. It's incredible how much wind it blocks to make the winters better. For the summer I'll just leave the bottom 2 ft open to get a breeze and allow the dogs easy access to the yard.

Thanks Fish. Do they come with guide wires on the side to keep the shade from blowing in the wind or is it just a free hanging shade.
