Property Brother's used to be my go to HGTV Home Improvement show. But I have to say, I am glued to the TV every Tuesday night to watch the latest Fixer Upper. Is Chip the cheesiest guy ever? Probably...but I really like the way those two complement each other...and Joanna really has a nice decorative touch. Just my opinion of course.

I like the show and the hosts a lot. My gripe is that every design is pretty much the same farmhouse everything is white on white with shiplap covering everything.

Now Rehab addict on the other hand...

Hgtv made an obvious effort to doll her up big time after the first season.

As long as Christina keeps her mouth shut, ok. But my God, every time she talks I want to change the channel.

And yes, my wife and I watch every single Fixer Upper, even though their style is somewhat repetitive.

I find most things on HGTV to be nearly unwatchable. Too formulaic and too much repetition. This Old House or one of the longer series ones where they really get into the big structural stuff and craftsmanship are much more my style.

Norm Abram!

I will add this for those that aren't in the know....I lost all my hearing in 2001 and minus 8 months that my cochlear implant was working, I have been deaf. I read lips and finally gave up about 2005 and turned captioning on the TV. HGTV helped me keep my sanity because I could WATCH, SEE and keep track of the renos and not need the talking, chitchat that is essential in basis TV watching formats.

I really like TOH, it's just too short for the amount of content they try to cram in there. I like the show, I just wish they'd make it an hour instead of 30 min (with about 10 min worth of commercials).

And I was going to throw ol' Norm out there as my favorite, but he seems to be a polarizing figure. A lot of people love him, and a lot of people just straight up hate him (and I've never figured out why). I will say he's motivated me to try more than I would have otherwise.

Fun fact, Roy does each episode in 1 shot. All 20-something minutes of each episode is shot in one freaking take. He is a hoot to watch and love the enthusiasm for wood.
