I may have already posted on here about custom doors, but the only thing I have been able to find from companies that offer "custom doors" is "stock doors that are cut down."

The door I need is a truly custom size (32" X 73"). I can't cut down a stock door to that size. I realize that my only options are going to be wood doors, but I can live with that if I use the right poly on the exterior side. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There is a advertisement that plays on the Michael berry show about custom doors. don't know the name of the company but MB endorses them...so it might be a good place to call.

I used pnimillwork on the west side, I hadn't used them for doors, i just had them flatten some slabs for me, but most of what they were making were custom doors.

I have no idea what kind of prices these guys charge, but I have done a little install work for them, and had a friend work for them for a long time and liked them. The work I saw of theirs though is impressive, and bonus, they are in Aggieland. Again though, no idea about their pricing, but I do know they would work in Houston as the Installs I did for them were in Austin.

Not sure what intended use is, but standard portable building fiberglass exterior doors are 72". You can get them with half lites. Anyway you can shim the hole? If so, I can order for you at cost. . .Not something I order all the time but I think they are in the $200 range as opposed to this site:

My intention would be to create the rough opening for the door. The existing door is 29" X 69". I will need to move it over in order to get a wider, taller door.

Yes, because a company choosing a local endorsement reflects upon their product.

It should be illegal for RTT not to use southern front door because he doesn't like their choice of advertising.

I have no problem with this at all.

I just think it's silly to discount a company based on one of many of the people they pay to endorse them. Because an endorsement doesn't equate to agreement with that particular celebrity - it's using the celebrity status to gain an audience to make more sales.

But it's his money, his choice to do with it as he pleases.

Check out Hoelscher doors I'm Houston. They custom built a mid century door off a sketch I provided....they can build whatever you want. The door (just slab) was a bad ass striped African mahogany aand cost me about 2k.
