What is the closest to Aggie Maroon?

Home Depot sells the "official" Aggie maroon. You should be able to get a mix formula for it from HD and have Sherwin Williams match it. Sherwin Williams might also have it in their database already.

Just take something in that is the shade of maroon you want and have them color match it.

I went a couple weeks ago to HD to buy the Aggie maroon paint, and they've pulled it from the system. I had to buy Behr's Formal Maroon, it seems a bit darker but nice either way.

Is it just me or does that square with "Aggie Maroon TM" not match the header color?

I don't know why they went with Hex 500000 for the web maroon. It looks too dark and too brown to me. I always just match the Pantone CMYK for web graphics because it looks the way I think maroon should look.

Maybe they thought Hex 500000 was just easier to remember than Hex 600024. (although the actual web graphic they use for Pantone returns a match of Hex 5e0025)

I believe the SW stores in Bryan-College Station supply the University with paint. Have the SW store in your area call the Bryan store to get the tint formulation for “Aggie Maroon”.
