If you plan on staying there Duration or Emerald are the way to go.

you notice a marked difference between Superpaint and those two?

If you get into the Duration and Emerald line, go cross shop BM Aura as well.

I have no experience with any of those on residential exteriors, but the guys in white jeans that work for me like BM Aura and SW Duration most often.

used Duration on an out building and after five years looks like the day I sprayed it. Just put it on my house.

Exterior paint selecting is easy.

How soon do you want to re-paint?

If you are going to be there a long time, and are not going to change the color, get the higher grades.

Duration or Emerald are both great. The difference is Duration goes on thick and can be harder to use, especially when it is hotter outside. Emerald goes on easier, more like the Superpaint.

***Make sure to use a high quality caulk as well, probably around $3-$4 per tube. Most likely the caulk you use will crack out and fail causing the need to repaint before the paint needs recoating.

Yup Duration is good both inside and out, and not a bad deal with the 30-40% off sale they have going on much of the year.

I did my whole house with Duration.

FYI, because it has so much acrylic in it it tends to go on thicker therefore your coverage per gallon drops so I found myself using more paint than I thought I would.

I didn't mind though because painting the outside of your house is probably one of the best examples of the saying "you get what you pay for"

I painted my house with Emerald while it was on sale. SW has sales pretty often, if you wait for one of the sales you can get the Emerald at a pretty good price.

I had my old house painted with super paint and I was not impressed with how it held up after just a couple of years. I had no idea that they made a better paint or I would have bought it at the time. I sold the house so now I am glad I didn't.

Had my house painted a few months ago and the company used the Duration paint...2 coats of it in fact.

FYI, SW has a 30% off paint coupon on their website right now.
