I am reading numerous posts online about how ash trees are horrible to plant in the lawn. Why do people hate on ash trees so much? Is the fan-Tex ash the best speices of ash for a landscaping/shade tree? I ask becuase there is little info online about this speices.

Fan Texas Ash is a actually a variety of Arizona Ash which I would not recommend. It is a fast growing tree, but is weak wooded and can damage your foundation if planted near your house. I would look at getting a green ash if our are set on getting an ash tree
