Maybe it was one too many Monster energy drinks, but something inspired me this weekend:
1. Replaced the two light fixtures on the back porch with outdoor fans/lights
2. Replaced the front door lock with a push button programmable dead bolt
3. Painted the dining room (under the chair rail molding and the columns between the entry way and the dining room) a deep "chianti" red.
4. Painted the downstairs "community" bathroom dark brown, and added a new light fixture and outlet covers.
5. Replaced the light fixtures on the front of the garage with more decorative fixtures.
6. Hung up numerous pictures and wall accents throughout the house.
It wasn't too bad! My 11 y/o son was a ton of help.
The only problem is now that we see how much difference the painting makes, we want to do the kitchen and an accent wall in the master bedroom. The game room upstairs is begging for a makeover as well!
We plan to put in wood floors downstairs next month (right around 1100 sq ft), so I might have to wait on any further projects until I see how much that really sets me back!!
