Pounds's approach from 118 on 18 went long. The tu dude put it with 5 or 6 feet. Match lost. Shiv hit his tee shot on 16 into downtown fort Worth and he has to win all three of the remaining holes to continue the match.

tu is replacing three insanely good players with a bunch of guys who've never played at this level, and we have experience all over the course. It won't matter. They destroyed us in stroke and match play.

Any correlation to us signing 3 players from the same small private school a few years ago right after one of our players won the US Amateur?

Pounds is the only one of those three that is in the lineup. Maggert never makes the 5.

It seems to be lost here in the infatuation with tu that the boys did finish runner up in the tournament in both stroke play and match play.

The tu boys beat us in stroke play by 21 strokes. There were only 6 teams in the tournament, 4 of whom weren't very good.

We aren't a good men's golf team currently. At the end of last season rankings 10 SEC teams were ranked ahead of us. Coach Kortan hasn't improved our golf team since he took over in 2021.
