Some of the vidoes from the media preview day are out on Youtube. I know Sean Walsh posted one. Ithin Erik Anders with Random Golf Club got to walk / ride it even before that with the developers. Looked really nice, but maybe during the spring where the dunes were still mostly dormant still. Should be really colorful in the summer and fall.

That has the potential to be a Bandon type golf meca. Supposedly planning 5 more courses and resort accomidations. Brilliant of Binion to convince the family (who knows nothing about golf) to make the original ranch a revenue stream as it didnt' support much head and they've supposedly mostly moved opperations to the new ranch anyway.

If you want a good laugh, I used to be a consultant in the golf real estate business. Mike Keiser hired me to do a feasibility study on a golf course(s) in Coastal Oregon. I went and visited the property (before the golf courses had broken ground). I told him the site was beautiful, but it would never work. Way too hard to get to.

Yes, I told Mike Keiser not to build Bandon Dunes...... my greatest claim to fame.

His response was classic... he told me I was the third consultant to tell him the same thing. He said screw you guys, this is going to work.

He was right.

My group of guys have a foursome next summer. Its only 40 minutes from my house so not in a huge hurry to play. One more year to grow in. Its certainly steep at $350 plus caddy.

My understanding is they are planning to open the 2nd course next year for the founding members.
