Kicks off on FS2 in about ten minutes. Pretty excited for the season this year. Rooting for the 4 Aces
Not that I want to watch.jja79 said:
There's actually other live golf on now too.
looks absolutely awesome. If they could find a way to do that in Houston (next time they return) and play at night my family would be there no doubt. It would be cooler temp wise, and my kids would love it.AgLA06 said:
I didn't realize it was night golf.
This is pretty cool with all the graphics and lights on the lit course. The shot tracer is bad ass against the night sky.
And it's really great to hear Feherty!
I don't.98Ag99Grad said:
PGA is on ESPN+ if you have that
I'd rather watch tournament golf than and exhibition of no-names and has-beens.AgLA06 said:I don't.98Ag99Grad said:

I'm not paying extra for golf coverage. I have golf channel, ESPN, and the major channels.
I'd rather watch the entertaining things LIV is doing than jack with another subscription for the PGAT.
Your comment is neither funny, nor factually correct. Well, I guess it's 50% correct. LIV does have a few has-been's, same difference as the PGAT have a field of 85 never were's.I Am A Critic said:I'd rather watch tournament golf than and exhibition of no-names and has-beens.AgLA06 said:I don't.98Ag99Grad said:

This probably isn't the thread for you then. I have no want to listen to another argument. I'm watching something fun and enjoyable for entertainment. And I appreciate LIV actually trying.I Am A Critic said:I'd rather watch tournament golf than and exhibition of no-names and has-beens.AgLA06 said:I don't.98Ag99Grad said:

Cam Smith shanked one waaayyy out into the sand and they found it earlier easily. I don't think it's as dark as it seems off the fairway. Just not as lit up as the holes.98Ag99Grad said:
So how dark is it in other areas of the course? If they don't hit the fairway is it hard to find your ball?
🆘LIV Season Opener TV Viewership (Per Nielsen)#LIVGolfRiyadh 1st Round *averaged only 12,000 viewers* from 10a-3p on FS2.

Paltry viewership aside - it’s so sad to me guys like Rahm, Cam, Joaco, etc… are playing the prime of their career in golf obscurity😔 pic.twitter.com/RYK1zwpfiH

Adding to LIV's woes, co-host of The Fried Egg Golf podcast, Andy Johnson, didn't mince words when he highlighted the enduring struggle of the new golf league to capture the attention of fans. Despite a massive investment of five billion dollars, Johnson emphasized that LIV Golf's product was largely irrelevant to the majority of golf enthusiasts.
Johnson's harsh critique was validated by disappointing TV ratings for LIV Golf. When the viewership numbers for one of LIV's U.S. broadcasts were revealed, the golf community was taken aback. The viewership was a meager 12,000, a figure Johnson described as "extraordinarily pathetic." This dismal performance was a far cry from what LIV had envisioned: a reinvigorated schedule, a prime-time slot for U.S. audiences, and another year filled with high-profile players.

The PIF, having invested billions into LIV Golf, finds itself in a predicament. Regardless of their financial commitment, without fan engagement, there's no sustainable future for the league. Hence, golfing insiders like McIlroy and Spieth no longer regard LIV as essential for the PGA Tour's success.
