Coming in for a Aggie Student/Parent weekend in the next few weeks and want to get in a round with them and my wife (both of those two beginners so to speak). We all really like playing the Campus Course but keep hearing that Briarcrest (City Course now) is popular with the students b/c of rates. With carts, it would be about a $50 savings for the group of three. No issues with the difference in rates, but if the City Course is better, why not? I know the student has not played the City Course yet, but I don't know anything about it b/c when I was tin school it was a private course. It does look like they only book one week in advance.

So, any info from the GB would be appreciated as to the pros/cons compared to each of the two courses. (condition of courses, greens at each, etc.)

TIA guys and gals!
"Green" is the new RED.

Campus Course will be nicer, but that's not to say Briarcrest is a dump. They usually have a lot of issues with poa, so the first few months of the year are usually where the greens are in the worst shape they'll be in all year.

Campus Course is wide open and Briarcrest is very tight off the tee with houses all around. So if you're playing with beginners, Campus Course may be the move.
