My 16yr old wants to get out on Payne's Valley and a couple of the surrounding courses for his 16th bday mid march. We do not intend to stay at Big Cedar, so we have to wait to book a tee time 30 days out. We have been up there before on family trips and love staying in West Branson, in Ledgestone CC in the cabin rentals. The first time we went to Branson a couple years ago it snowed. Would we be better off going in October on the back end of the summer or roll the dice and lock in for the week of the 15th in March?

I'd guess you'd be safe in March. However, October time frame would be nice as well with the trees in the area turning.....Also, Ledgestone is very underrated IMO. Great, fun course. Especially holes 6-10. I love the ones that run along that creek.

Here are some pictures of Ledgestone in December. I may have a photo from another course but just can't remember since it's been a few years since I was there.

Ya we like it in that area. The cabin we usually stay at is right by the maintenance shop. We can walk down behind the cabin to the creek. Last time we were there our kids spring break didnt align with activities in town, Silver Dollar City was open the week after, etc. It snowed pretty good the second to last day we were there.
