Each year my buddies and I do a golf trip. Bandon, Pinehurst, and other golf "meccas" are on the bucket list, but we've also talked about wanting a location that provides a high level golf experience and has activities/entertainment for wives and young children.

So, does anyone have recommendations/experiences at spots like this? Not exclusive to something budget conscious or top dollar, near or far from Texas. All recommendations welcome. Just trying to find locations that have a little something for everyone.

Frisco PGA is pretty family friendly. Giant putting green, food, tvs, ice cream and everything all around the practice facilities

Have you played the courses there? I've been out to the resort but wasn't able to play.

TPC San Antonio is close, La Cantera. Lots to do in San Antonio. We loved Branson Missouri and all the golf there. If you like scenery and hiking, mountain golf in New Mexico and Colorado is nice.
Wisconsin in the summer is nice. Sheboygan and Kohler is a nice smaller town with a historical downtown and quick trips to very scenic areas close by. Lots of choices!

Not yet, but I'm sure you've heard the same things. Walking championship course is hard, and the other is easier and more resort friendly

I've played the west course. It's pretty fun, with most of the holes being close together. There's a bar on one of the par 3's that makes some great transfusions.

Branson / Table Rock Lake / Big Cedar Lodge are perfect for this.

Hilton head. Plenty of golf. Beach for the kids. Great food, history, shopping in Savannah.
