I was there last year. Behind the 10th green in chairs they set up. Incredible venue. Great spot. No one there.

And I'm thrilled to see Will Z back in great form. Would love to see him on the Ryder cup team this year

Having played that course in extensive wind I'm
always amazed at how well they go low there.. I think this time to year the wind is lower, but not 100%. Either way incredible course.

Part of me loves having commentators that were part of the club / project there to give little insites to the course.

Part of me is envious / jealous of that. And not in a good way.

This new year of PGA golf is going to be very different and more interactive at our house.

I built my JPGA daughter a budget simulator in the garage for Christmas. It's pretty dang cool to be able play the 18th with them or any particular hole while we watch on the TV in the garage. Especially seeing how they play the whole / course strategy vs us.

I don't watch TV golf other than bits and pieces of the Ryder Cup and Majors, maybe last few holes.

It does nothing for me to watch the world's best golfers having the best week hit their best shots that sets the standard how golf should be played. Even 90% of the field don't play like the leaders.

Now, I would watch bad shots. Chunks, shanks, OBs.. ball in the water, broken clubs..triple bogeys etc.

Technically her so far. She's still off school so she's practiced just about every day. And I sit and watch / coach instead of practice while she is. I'm also nursing a bad case of tennis elbow. So hitting off the matt isn't helping.

Once she goes back to school I'm definitely sneaking in some holes on days I work from home. My goal is to hit at least 3 days a week.

My goal for her is to hit at least 4 days a week with 1 day of pitching and 1 day of putting.

I built it because she's been at a huge disadvantage compared to most of the girls she plays with / against. They all live close and are members of clubs. We're 40 minutes from her academy so while most of them can get evening practice sessions in, we couldn't. Despite that, she was really doing well in both the academy and tournaments. I'm hoping this levels the playing field and helps push her natural ability.

I made the same mistake as Zalatoris and Cam Davis on the same hole 15 out there. I played my partner's ball on the same exact uphill approach shot. Too weird.

That's crazy… though somehow I doubt yours was quite as costly. Using round numbers and guesstimating… it looks like if cost Willy Z around $100K, and somewhere in the neighborhood of $300K for Cam Davis.

Oh… and -35 is absurd. Birdied damn near half the 72 golf holes he played.
