Go under par for one 9. Broke my goal of E this year.

No goal necessary but hope to have a full year with minimal distractions to see where I end up. Had early and late season mishaps. Rounds were down compared considerably to last year and was still able to drop handicap 2.1.

I wanna play more than 4 times this year, at least one round, a competitive betting round with the boys…not just charity scrambles

I was defending my back to back match championship at my club in the semi final, my good buddy Billy Smith went birdie birdie hole in one and birdie... In front nine and eventually beat me 3-2.

My pars were no good.

I shot 73 in October for a personal best. Typically shoot 82-85. It showed me that if it all comes together, and I focus on what I'm doing on every shot, I can shoot even par. So that's my goal for this year. Take the game more seriously, and shoot even par. It's going to take playing 45+ times, which I think I can make happen.

Didn't mean anything with my response. Sorry. Just meant that was my payback for working. And you're right it is heaven.

Do it in 20. My admitting to working for 50 years was basically admitting I did it wrong.

1. Practice more, not just show up and play
2. Get GHIN index back in single digits
3. Hit more fairways
4. Hit more greens
5. Break 80 more often (it's been a while)

To do this, I may have to find a new golf group that plays more...

Played my first round of 2025 yesterday. Weather was perfect. Shot 89.

1) Practice with a purpose on the range and re-up on some lessons/pro instruction
2) Play at least 2 full rounds a month
3) Play at least 4-5 courses I have never played before
4) Just general improvement in all aspects of the game, be better than I was in 2024

Want to get 52 rounds in, get a legit simulator setup at home and get my handicap below 5.

I'm late to the party but I'm jumping in too.

• Handicap under 3 (currently 6.3)
• 5 rounds of Even Par or Better
• 2 bogey free rounds
• Win a Members tournament in the Gross division
• Win a parking space (Player of the Year or Club Championship)

Some less serious or harder to define goals:

• Walk 20 rounds
• Keep track of game better, whether it be stats or some other on-course metric beside score
• Enjoy the game more and limit the pathetic head games

Haven't really played much past 15-ish years. I'm studying & working on my game/swing for the first time ever, finally got a real driver in my bag, and have a couple lessons paid for and ready to go. I've really fallen in love with the game.

2025 goal: Have fun and consistently hit sub 100.

Well, played my first round of 2025... Weather was meh, the greens were poor/sanded, we were rushed the whole time and we didn't get to finish our last 2 holes cause the carts were due back too early.

But... I did hit a 98 assuming I double bogey last 2 holes.

That's not bad for me. With better conditions and me continuing to get better every month, I should be able to get into the low/mid 90s consistently. That's good enough for now.
