That means his caddie Ted got paid at least 5 mil. What a gig.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Can you imagine the quality of life difference going from Bubba Watson as a boss to Scottie?

No. Explain it to us.

Because by all accounts they're great friends and Bubba suggested Scott to find a young up and comer because he wasn't sure he could get back from injuries. And Bubba gave him a nice severance / retirement bonus.

"Watson said that he and Scott are friends who still text each other, hang out and play practice rounds together...""

And he wasn't exactly struggling on Bubba's bag with 2 Masters, 12 other PGAT wins for almost $50M in earnings.

Bubba is a notoriously great human (Google his family and the money they raise for charity) but he was also a notoriously whiney little baby on the course and regularly took out his bad shots in the caddy. I get that for them, it wasn't a big deal, part of the job, whatever. But you're lying if you think working for calm, happy, Scotty isn't an improvement.

I'm just saying, both things can be true.

Thanks for being so on brand… chef's kiss.

Just because they're friends doesn't mean he'd be an enjoyable boss. I wouldn't want to work for any of my friends.

Bubba is one of the most irritable pro golfers out there. Scottie is widely known to be more affable. Explanation over.

Never was a fan of Bubba.
Early in his career, he proudly spoke about a trip to France, and was greeted with a very expensive bottle of wine in his room, courtesy of the hotel. Well, Bubs is not a fan of alcohol, and I get that and respect his view, but he gleefully stated that he opened the bottle and poured it out of the window.

He easily could have said thank you, and sent it back for someone else to enjoy. That's bizarre behavior.

So he worked for him for 15 years? You're ability to make random crap up and then deflect is truly amazing.

Make up random crap? I heard him berate Ted Scott several times. I'm not the one deflecting. Again… on brand for you. You're a beating.

I would take a lot of crap from my boss if I get paid enough.

So what first hand experience or article can you cite?

Or is this just the latest Poot throws crap against the wall as fact?

At the Travelers one year a hot mic caught Bubba ripping in to Scott after Bubba dunked one in the water on a par 3. Seems he thought Scott was off on the yardage thus the water ball. That's the one that I recall.

Huh? Maybe you've got me confused with some other bodily function, but I'm not flinging excrement. I'm dry and gassy.

And again, on brand for you. That's three chef's kisses in 3 consecutive posts. Consistent.

I watch a lot of golf, and Bubba is a whiney, pouty, caddy-blaming pro. I didn't read an article. I didn't make it up. He's a turd on the course… frankly, a lot of them are. Most of the juniors that I played with that ended up on PGA Tour had unsavory personalities on the course. Nothing was ever their fault… but something about that personality allows them to flush what just happened and mentally approach the next shot/putt like their **** don't stink. (You know the type, AgLA06)

Ted Scott made damn good money with Bubba for a lot of years. There were FAR worse bags to carry out there… no doubt. I'm sure Ted Scott is very grateful and thankful to Bubba… I know I would be.

But he's got a WAY better situation now, both monetarily and from a quality of life standpoint.

Exactly. He came up 25 yards short in the water on 16 and he said, "Nice club pro, and tossed the club back in Ted Scott's direction." He made sure EVERYONE knew that was Teddy's fault. Bubba made sure to grandstand Ted on national TV.

I don't see Scottie ever doing that to him.
