Did anyone else watch? I caught about the last three holes of qualifying and then the playoff on 18. Dude won with a 12 foot birdie. Stunningly compelling. Very fun.

Tyler from Dude Perfect might be a vanity 3 handicap.
I could see a 3 handicap shot 10 over on tour conditions pretty easily especially with a gallery and nerves. His swing did look the most amateur of the players though so you're probably right.Lt. Joe Bookman said:

Though looking at the rest of the field, I didn't realize how many were + handicaps. So maybe 3 is close? He also probably doesn't play golf on camera as much as the rest of the field.

Really? That's part of why I thought it was compelling. As an"quick" format, I thought it was really good. Of course that's because of the birdie to win.
I don't mind the 9 holes but the "cut" after 8 seemed dumb.

My only gripe was they didn't really interact with the players enough. The popular ones have gotten that way because they are big personalities. They should have been mic'd up the whole round.
Agree with that. I'm not sure if even have used announcers in traditional sense. I think about the running commentary when Bryson is doing one of his challenges.
No way PGA Tour could not have traditional announcers and correspondent following each group. They can't think out of the box enough to let some of the biggest personalities in golf shine being mic'd up. Good idea with mediocre execution. Also missing some big names.

Was also curious why Mason Nutt played but Cole Lantz didn't (the BustaJack guys). Seems like they're both good enough to get an invite.

Only so many spots I guess. With 14 players in the field, the broadcast was over three hours. My only complaint was the pace of play seemed to be very slow. A couple players needed to be put on a clock.
