Alright ya'll gotta share a great golf weekend. I live in Castle Pines Colorado and had an opportunity to have an amazing golf weekend.

It all started about a year ago when my realtor sent me two tickets to the BMW Championship just to make sure I didn't forget about him. I invited my mother and father in law to go with us and decided to make it an entire weekend.

On Saturday my FIL and I played Bear Dance to get the golf juices warmed up. Bear Dance is an amazing course imo, and home of the Colorado PGA.

On Sunday we hit up the BMW championship, and man the castle pines golf club was in top shape and they did an amazing job with the event. I live here and frankly the area is simply not built for that kind of traffic and yet they pulled it off superbly. Very well run event, and it was easy to get in and out of. Caught Sheffler blowing up on 10 for a triple bogey, caught Adam Scott's start of his downfall and Keegan Bradley simply put a dart into the green on one of the hardest holes on the course. Just a great all around time!

To top it all off today I played in a charity event raising money for a local hospital here in Castle Rock at The Sanctuary golf course. For those of you not up here in Colorado, the sanctuary is considered the nicest course in castle pines, and is owned exclusively by the founder of Remax, Dave Liniger. He only allows charity events and select weddings on the course and it is unbelievably unique. Every hill has massive elevation changes, several waterfalls litter the course and due to the lack of rounds played on it, is in amazing shape. Golf Digest has it as the #5 course in Colorado and the only way I would have it that low is the lack of difficulty.

Below are just a few of the pics I took but I hit a golf home run this weekend.

Looks like a great time and glad you had the weekend you did. I love Colorado golf and need to get back up that way.

Pretty jealous of the round at Sanctuary. Foursomes will pop up in auctions here and there and always go for about $750-1000/player. Lifelong goal is to play every course in Colorado and that will be one of the ten hardest/most expensive to complete.

Glad you enjoyed Bear Dance. Definitely my favorite public course in the state.

I have only been at this golf thing for a year, but definitely want to start keeping a list of ones to get to. I would love some input on where to go next!

So far I have, and you can tell I live where I live:

Bear Dance
Red Hawk Ridge
The Ridge
Sanctuary
Club at Ravenna
Pinery (I am a member)
Pradera (sister club to pinery so easy)
Saddle Rock
South Suburban
Lone Tree
Plum Creek
Perry Park (This is a freaking gem)
Rio Grande Club (Southfork Co)

Pradera, Red Hawk Ridge and Sanctuary were all designed by Jim Engh and it is clear. 14 at Sanctuary and 6 at Red Hawk Ridge are the same hole down to the same distances just Sanctuary put in waterfalls where Red Hawk has sand traps on the left side. All have some massively bowled greens and can be advantageous to accurate golfers. It makes me want to hit up Fossil Ridge just to complete some easy to get to Jim Engh courses.

So any suggestions let me know!

Just start working North. Green Valley Ranch, Arrowhead, Murphy Creek. All good courses. Kings Deer just south of you.

Could finish the Jim Engh tour with a stay up in Glenwood. Lakota Canyon and Redlands Mesa.
