Just got back from 4 "preview rounds" for the Ryder Cup style event I'm playing at Dormie Club near Pinehurst in October. Such an awesome course. Anyone else played any of the Dormie Network courses? I played Victoria National in Indiana last year for this same event. This year we've moved East.

Joined Dormie Network last year. Have played Briggs Ranch, Arbor Links, Dormie Club, and Hidden Creek.

Going to do Gray Bull for sure next year and somehow hopefully sneak in Vic National and Ballyhack at some point in 2024. Dormie Network hospitality is pretty spectacular and the golf is great as well. Highly recommend checking out any of their properties if you get a chance.

Ballyhack is down the road and two of my buddies were members.

Great service and beautiful golf course. They actually allow pay for play some times.

Golf all over the Carolina's looks so incredible. Wife and I are talking about potentially retiring there.

What are some of your more important amenities you need when looking at an area to retire?

According to all my aging family, major health care options within an hour. Because they're making the trip regularly. Which flies directly in contrast to my hopes of retiring far away from everything.

Then opportunities to socialize and nearby activities they enjoy (fishing, hunting, hiking, golf, etc.)

Victoria National is one of the hardest courses I've ever played. It's a great track, but there are no easy holes, and double bogey or worse is always in play on dang near every hole. The hospitality of Dormie Network is incredible as you said. I look forward to this event every year.
