Have a hitting net set up in the garage for practicing and tend to go practice in the early mornings when it is somewhat tolerable. Has anyone tried one of those portable air conditioning or swamp cooler set ups? I'm not saying to cool off the entire garage but maybe just blowing cooler air in the area you are swinging clubs on the mat. I interested to see if anyone has tried something like this and how it worked out. Thanks

I've done mist fan. Works great. But of course it was in a very dry heat area.

In Houston where humidity is high. For you cut up's, no.......not moving......yet.

I can't speak to those, but I have a big shop fan that keeps me pretty cool while I practice in the garage.

I have a window unit I keep on hand for hurricanes, etc. I'll set that up in the garage on a cinder block and put a small bucket or something to catch the condensate. It doesn't help much, but it'll blow colder than a fan…

I have a big fan that I use that is "good enough", but I'll be lying if I say I haven't looked into a mini split and some thick partitioning curtains to make a "room".

Never have pulled the trigger though, the fan is just good enough.

Most swamp coolers I've come across were in Central Valley and Desert CA with dry heat.

Im not sure those thing work well in humid areas.

Mini splits work really, really well for my BIL who has a garage sim.

If you didn't want to go that route, highly recommend the Icy Breeze.

I've tried a 14,400 BTU stand up AC, a dehumidifier, and a fan with my simulator in the garage. It's a three car garage. I'll keep all three running when I plan to use my simulator to make it somewhat comfortable, the fan probably makes the biggest difference and is the cheapest. The AC helped second best and drops the humidity. Getting temps in the high 80s this time of year is tough especially during the day. It's comfortable enough I'll use it during the summer but not comfortable enough I'd invite a friend over to enjoy the simulator.

Thanks cb1919!

That is kind of what I was thinking when I went down this path in trying to make my golf hitting area at least a little more comfortable on that side of the garage. Appreciate the link too.
