I'm looking for a place in Houston to do an outdoor driver fitting and this is the only place I can find. Not many recent reviews and most are for the restaurant and atmosphere of the place. Does anyone know if this place is any good for a fitting?

Or, do you know of an outdoor driver fitting location? I never hit the simulators well, shot shape never looks the same as the course and just find it awkward in general. I'm a 12 index so not the best but also know my game really well.

You're technically hitting it outdoors but into a small net-covered area.

Swannys is not the place I would go for a fitting. Matt is super nice and a good teacher but for what it sound like you expect I think you will be disappointed. The net is only about 100yds deep so not the place to do what you want to do. Have you tried the guys at High Meadow Ranch? I know they do fittings and there they put you on a trackman while you hit shots on to their full outdoor range. Roger is a great guy.

I took six lessons there last year and got fitted for a set of irons. I go there every once in a while to practice still. But yeah, the area is small. it's longer than 100 yards. I think more like 180ish. so you won't get all the feedback you want visually from a driver.

Windrose and Augusta Pines have lesson/ fitting bays that you hit into the main range.

Jim Phenicie at Windrose golf. Plenty of range to hit onto with driver. And to back it up you will have all the technology. Steers you not just to right club but ain't looking to rip you off either.

we take my son there and recently did a driver fitting with Jim

Augusta Pines and Gleann Loch Pines have outdoor fittings through their Summit School. Never done a fitting but have taken a few lessons with them and really enjoy it. Their fitting setup there is pretty good.

Its an indoor bay but you hit out into the range. You get the comfort of shade & trackman/video feedback all with seeing an actual ball flight.

Check out Axis Golf academy at Blackhorse GC in Cypress. They have access to the outdoor range too.
