I currently game a set of off-the-shelf P790s. Regrettably, I should have been fitted for them but just didn't do that.

I love my irons, although I don't always hit them the best. I've played with some people that think I should lay them a little flatter, etc. My question is.. if I went through the process of getting an iron fitting, are they able to just modify my existing irons? My current ones aren't that old so shelling out $1,500 just isn't in the cards. Or should i just keep playing with what I have until I'm ready for a whole new set?

You should be able to adjust the lie one degree up or down with reasonable effort. Much beyond that and the risk of damaging the hosel increases. P790s are notoriously tough to adjust - BTW

They might be able to bend the lie a degree or 2.
