Howdy,

I've been a DirecTV Satellite customer for decades but I think it's time to finally cut the cord. We don't watch movies and all I care about are local channels and Sports, but I want the Golf Channel. If I am reading this correctly, YouTubeTV has Golf Channel plus SEC Network and all the usual stuff in their base package. Can anyone confirm and or give reviews of YouTubeTV - want to be sure before I cancel my DirecTV.

Sorry but I'll be blunt, why don't you sign up for the free trial and see for yourself?

On the website, it tells you what channels are offered.

I don't understand exactly what you're looking for. You're not trying to buy a car here.

Yes, Golf Channel is part of the base package. You can also watch some of their series on demand (ie Big Break). For some if not most of the majors, YouTubeTV has marquee matchups, split screen, etc to watch during live action.

Some people (mostly olds) don't like not having a channel number to go to, but it's 2024...adding the Golf Channel to your favorites in the YouTubeTV application is something a 5yr old could do.

We have YouTube tv and like it. Like everything else, the cost of these streaming services are constantly increasing making cutting the cord not as much of a money saver as it once was.

I'm paying $100+ for DTV now. Also probably going to have the roof replaced soon and I'd like to get the satellite dish down. (And not worry about having to put another one up.)

Free trial here I come.

Do you care about the Astros or Rangers? If so, YouTubeTV doesn't have them (at least last time I was looking).

Cut the cord about 8 years ago. Been with YouTube TV for a long while. No complaints about golf coverage. They have extra features for majors as well.
