Here's the deal, we got my 14 year old a nice calloway range finder for Christmas last year. Actually bought it during prime day b/c it was at a crazy good price.

Fast forward to last week and you guessed it.....he left it on cart at the course. Didn't realize it until he went to get his bag for his lesson this weekend. And as you'd expect it is long gone.

Hopefully he learned his lesson. This weekend he walked the neighborhood knocking on doors trying to see if he can earn money pressure washing driveways so he can buy a new or new to him one.

Anybody got an old one they want to sell?

I'm 58 and did the same thing last week. I bet it happens frequently. I just wish I could be the one to find one in stead!

I have the Gogogo and it is so cheap that when I left it on the cart the cart boys didn't even steal it. Works just fine.

Second the rec for GoGoGo

Pro tip...Tell him to put his car keys in the range finder case. It's impossible to forget it.

I do this as well now. I don't go so far as to put the keys in the case, but I throw the case in the cubby of the cart where I put my keys. Can't miss it, so can't forget it.

Ah...Yeah my case stays hanging on my bag i just put my keys in it. So I can't get my keys without opening my case.

I'm afraid the case will break off my bag and now I lost my car keys...

I just try to remember to put the range finder back in the case on the 18 fairway immediately after i measure the distance. works 95% of the time.

My kid bought a nice Blue Tees rangefinder on sale and was all about the magnet. I being the old man told him not to put it on the magnet because he will forget it or get it stolen. After a month or two you guessed it he left it on the magnet went back to the course and of course nobody saw anything.

Yea I love the magnet but have left mine at the course at least 5 times. Have also left it a couple of times and then remembered when I got to the truck. Someone found it and turned it in every time, until the last time. I lost my case, which made it very difficult to remember. So I'll have to get a new one later this year.

I won a Blue Tees range finder in a tournament, and was given a cheap one as a tee prize at another tourney about a week later taking my total to 3. Thought about selling one, but decided I'd keep it for a while because you hear about dudes losing them all the time.

The following week I took a guys' trip to Hot Springs and took my original range finder and the Blue Tees one with me. I played a round with the Blue Tees range finder, and of course I left it in the cart. Called the course when I figured out the next morning. Despite remembering the cart number and being the very last group off the course the evening before, you can imagine how SHOCKED I was to hear nobody had seen it.

I'd just give you my spare for free, but that almost guarantees I'll lose my other one. Good luck.

I suggest a used Caddytek v2.0 with slope, many here have it and I don't recall anyone having said anything bad about it. I am going to guess, used on ebay maybe $50 give or take. Full transparency, it's what my daugjhter uses, we got it from Costco years ago for $99, never an issues with it and it measures the same as the fancy high dollar ones.

Left it on the cart 5 times in a year. Maybe you should just get the watch.

lol it's been more than a year. Probably 3-4 years or so. But it's crazy how easy it is to leave it on the cart when you have the magnet and the rangefinder is black and kinda blends into the cart. Leaving the case in the cart helped me remember but once I lost the case it was just a matter of time.

I second this. Pretty spot on w/ Bushnell accuracy. And it's cheap/ I don't the clip situation that helps you toggle slope on and off as I have lost both of them. Not sure how I lost the slope off one after the slope on one, lol.

I purchased BlueTees for my team and didn't like them. It was a cool idea that it gave accuracy to the decimal, but ridiculous that I'd shoot it 3 different yardages that were 3-5 yards different. And I know that 3-5 yards isn't really going to make much of a difference to 95-99% of the people on here, but I feel it plays negatively into the psyche.

Who knows maybe it was because that was early into their existence and they've improved since then? But, as I eluded to I'm a fan of the CaddyTek accuracy and price.
