Anyone played there recently? Heading to south Toledo Bend next weekend and want to try this one instead of the usual trip over to Rayburn Country.

Played it a few years ago before the renovation. Was in rough shape then but looks great now. Want to get back.

If they can get that place in even decent shape it would be a lot of fun. It's on a crazy piece of land. Problem is, it was one of the worst conditioned courses I had even seen. (Granted, that was 10+ years ago).

Had a buddy play it a week ago Friday said the green were rough which made putting a challenge but still a fun course design.

We are going out there this Friday. More interested in seeing the layout and what they have done with the reno.

And honestly, not concerned if greens not rolling great. Usually slow and bumpy at Rayburn as well.

After reading all of the posts, I am definitely interested in both of these golf options.

Q. What is the overall experience like at Rayburn?
Resort, accommodations, dining, golf, etc.

I grew up on that lake, but haven't been back in 30+ years.

I've only played Rayburn once, and it was right after Cypress Bend. Rayburn felt like Augusta comparatively, condition-wise.

If Cypress Bend is now in even DECENT shape, it would be fun. The back nine has some tricky holes, but it's on a great piece of property. The terrain is like Waterwood was (RIP).
