All these golf swings look way better than mine.
I'm always envious of trips like this and wish I could go on some. Then I remember that my pre-teen daughter has a better golf swing than I do and I'd be better off site seeing than playing these amazing, challenging courses.

Were those huge rocks/stones that I'm seeing in that bunker?

More great pics!

St Anne's Old Links today

Royal Lytham tomorrow

Tonight we are staying at the Dormy House at Royal Lytham. We had dinner tonight in a private room over looking the course. This place is incredible

36 tomorrow before we head back to Manchester to play a parkland course called Prestburry, it's a top 100 in England but not similar to what we played up North

Depending on if you fly coach or business/first class I think the trip was probably 6-14k

Some guys took caddies every round and some didn't which could save you about 1,200

We stayed cheap at 2 air bnb's so we could all hang out and only a place like Lytham one night

Thanks for all the photos. I was there a year ago, and these pictures bring a smile to my face every day as I remember that trip and look forward to the next one.

36 at Royal Lytham and St Annes

Rainy, cold, winds got up to 40

Tough freaking course...170+ bunkers and they are everywhere. You can't lay up to a safe distance...just have to hit it straight.

Club house, dorms, and service are all 5 star. Total package of course/service/food/etc this us the nicest club I've ever played

The interesting part to me is you've done a great job of explaining the experience and which ones are better than others. But I have to admit at this point, they all look pretty similar based on the course photos shown.

Finished our 8 day match play tournament at Royal Lytham for the Clarrett Jug

This morning we played a course we found on google that's in Manchester. Prestburry Golf Club is a top 100 course in England but this place was AWESOME. Not links style but I will 100% recommend this course to anyone going to play in Northern England.

It was cold in the morning, warmed up by the team we teed off, then got cold, then poured rain, then got hot, then poured rain, then cleared up again. Greens were firm and fast, lay out was awesome, huge hills and drops and undulating greens. Super underrated course.

The last course looks the best on the computer screen.

Definitely more American and "pretty"

Not even close to the hardest

Royal Lytham is freaking hard...not many spots to lay up or miss off the tee. The northern part of the country has got a lot of rain so the rough is super long and thick. At Lytham you just have to hit it solid and leave yourself with correct angles coming into the green or your just dead. The first cut of rough is about 2-3 yards then it's knee high and essentially a penalty stroke at best if you can find it.
