I think the biggest difference in PGA and LPGA is just the makeup of the players. As a dad of 2 daughters, the girls just mature faster than the boys. Good boys high school or college golfers just don't have the physical or mental maturity of the men they're trying to catch in professional golf.
With the ladies maturing much sooner in life, amateurs aren't at as much as a disadvantage physical against the women on the LPGA Tour physically. Mental maturity might be a different story with earned experience, but there's currently two amateurs in the top 5 and 3 in the top 15. That's just not going to happen on the PGAT.
And to be clear, I'm not saying it a bad thing. It's just different and has really made this LPGA US Open interesting to watch.
