I can get either set of irons for free, planning on giving them to my teenage son

Both seem similar as they are "game improvement" irons.

any opinions on either set?

Cobras have an infinitely better look to me. I just assume all GI irons have similar performance.

No experience with Air-X irons, but I *love* my Air-X fairway woods and hybrids. Absolutely phenomenal, forgiving, and easy to hit. I have a love-hate relationship with my Cobra Baffler XL irons. I'm saving up to get fit.
