Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I feel like I only grip the club well maybe half the time.

When I grip it well I hit it well. When I don't: maybe, maybe not.

I think I need to get something to mark my glove and my grips to help me get more consistent. I think this is against the rules but whatever.

Frustrating issue. Should be simple to get this right but really struggling with it.

Look up Mike Malaska on YouTube. He has tons of videos on how to find the correct grip for you. Really made a difference for me. He also teaches to practice drawing and slicing at the range to get a feel for your hands.

Have you tried a rib or aligns? I play them on my 4-pw. But don't like them on woods or wedges for some reason

Ben Hogan's Five Lessons has a grip section. He talks about just practicing holding the club with proper grip everyday when sitting around. It's one of the few fundamentals I subscribe to from Hogan.

When you watch the tour guys in person, you can see how meticulous they are with their grip and alignment.

Im a firm believer in good golf begins with good grip. I just hold and grip the club watching TV etc. Good proper gripping of the club is underrated.

This and swing the club at home with proper grip and no ball. Crazy how quickly right' can feel natural when you take the ball away and swing a bunch of swings. Same can be said about takeaway and swing plane too.

Padraig Harrington video on the proper grip

It is few minutes long but illustrates the importance of the grip.

Harrington's videos are good, explains things very well.
